Hi, babes! It's officially Spring! Hollaa. Beach days, bikinis and pool parties are right around the corner! I've been trying to get my bikini collection ready for this summer. I've officially outgrown all of mine, so I haveeee to find some pronto! The struggle is real right now, guys lol. Today I'm sharing my skincare routine with you guys and I think it's perfect timing because I knowww you all are going to be out in the sun trying to get that golden glow. So, it's muy importante to protect your skin! Especially for those of you who wear makeup, like I do, you really want to make sure you have a good skincare routine. I'm really big on skincare because when your mom was telling you, "make sure you brush your teeth before you go to bed," mine was telling me, "make sure you cleanse, tone and moisturize before you go to bed." That's probably why I'm a horrible flosser now. What can I do? I'm already in my bad habits haha.
Hi, love bugs! I'm super excited about this week's blog. I'm getting a little personal in this one and sharing one of my new favorite discoveries. A few months ago I came across a company called Date Box. I signed up for January's box as a trial run and LOVED it. My boyfriend, Idarre and I are in a long distance relationship, so signing up for Date Box gave us one more thing to look forward to in our visits together. I'm sharing with you our January date box, which was a group date that Idarre and I did with my dad and stepmom. In the box were instructions for a scavenger hunt, selfie sticks for each of the couples, a floating candle water lantern for each couple, candles and matches. After the scavenger hunt we wrote down our goals for our relationship for 2016, the first thing to catch each other's attention, and some other mushy stuff that makes my heart flutter. lol
I was actually very thankful for the date box because sometimes it's hard for people to open up and express their feelings and DateBox made it easy and fun to do so. I honestly felt like my relationship took a step forward. #winning
We haven't done February's date yet, but we did open it already and I am pretty excited to share that one with you all as well. I'm sure March's date is on its way soon and I can't wait to see what it is! Honestly, you guys, whether you just started a relationship, have been in one for years, long distance, whateverrrrrr ... I think this is such a great way to reconnect with your partner. Call me a hopeful romantic, but I'm a sucker for date nights.
Until next time. xo
Hi, everyone! It's been a little while. It's been so busy for me with work, so I haven't had as much time to give to the blog, buuuut that is going to change! Promise xo
There have been a lot of new things going on and a ton of ideas running through my vision board for my site and I cannot wait to get them launched for you guys. As some of you know, I spend a lot of time in the bay area. I am from LA, but I went to college in Berkeley, so my college besties and boo-thang are still up there. I just came back from SF this weekend and it hit me that, for as much time as I spend up there, I never share bay life with you guys. So, that is another new thing I am incorporating into the blog. The Bay is very different than LA, separate but equal, and there are tons of things to share from fashion, food, weather, things to do, etc. So, this post is going to be a little different than my normal fashion posts. It's time to expand! If you haven't been to the bay, hopefully this post motivates you to check it out. xo
Hi, loves! I've been really experimenting with my looks lately. This one is one of my recent favs. It's perfect for the weather right now -- I felt cute and chic and was still warm with the sweater and boots. I am very big on "comfy and cute" looks. I do a ton of running around, so it is very important for me to feel comfortable all day. I love the combination of the materials in this look. I got the items awhile ago, but I found very similar items for you guys to recreate! xo
Hi, everyone! Happy New Year! It's been awhile, but I am so excited to launch so many exciting things this year. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and an even better New Year! I spent Christmas this year in Panama with my family. It was my first time spending Christmas away from home, which was a little interesting for me, but I had a really amazing experience with my family. I feel really blessed and thankful for everything that I've experienced in 2015 and I'm excited to see where 2016 takes me. I wish you all a prosperous and love filled 2016! Let's make magic happen!

Hi, doll faces! Soo I bought this romper awhile ago from Free People but was on the fence about it for a monthhhhhh. I literally kept it in the bag with the receipt on it until I made up my mind .. the struggle. I finally put it together with something and loved it. This romper really reminded me of a Roman gladiator or their battle armor with the design of the torso and neck. Especially because the top is two layers (the suede and the mesh), I felt like it was my armor lol. I really love when designers mix and match fabrics so as soon as I saw the mesh and suede I was instantly in love. That was actually part of my struggle to keep it or not -- I loved the top, but wasn't sure about the bottom. The ropes on the bottom REALLY reminded me of a gladiator, so i decided to pair it with my Steve Madden gladiator sandals. Duh. I softened up the look with a beaded clutch from H&M. What do you think? Leave me comments and let me know if you'd rock this look or keep it on the rack. xoxo

Hi, guys! Sooo, I really wanted to have this post up before the long weekend, buuut clearly that didn't happen. It was a very busy week for me and this weekend flew by with friends and family. Sorrrrryyyy, lovies! I am excited to share this look with you all though. I love it so much because it is extremely versatile -- I could wear it to run errands and transition into a girls' night out or date night with only a switch of my shoes and purse. Hollaaa. I hope you guys enjoy! xoxo

Hello dollfaces! It's been a crazy couple of weeks for me with work, but I DIIIDDD manage to shoot some looks for you all! So, keep a look out for new posts on different looks. Anyhooo ... I just started drinking Flat Tummy Tea (Instagram @flattummytea) and I wanted to share it with you guys! I will be tracking my progress with photos and let you know how I feel about it when the four weeks are up. They sell the tea in programs of two or four weeks. I'm only on day two, so I still have a ways to go. This tea is supposed to help boost metabolism and energy while minimizing bloating and making you feel prego with foodbabies all day. We all hate that feeling ... "It's a bitch."
Let's be real though, ladies -- no tea is magical. You still have to exercise and eat right to actually see results. Time is very limited for me, so I usually do a home workout every night before I go to bed while my gym membership goes to waste lol.
Here's my nightly routine:
100 lunges (each leg)
4 sets of as many push ups as I can. (pushups and I don't get along)
I have also started doing "Sore to the Core" by Alexa Jean Fitness! (Instagram @AlexaJeanFitness) She has downloadable ebooks that you can print out or have on your phone/tablet to guide you through daily workouts for your abs. It's basically like having your own trainer! ;) (She also has other workouts too!) www.AlexaJeanFitness.com
If any of you try any of these, let me know! Shoot me an email or leave a comment! Let's get fit together! TheMakLook@yahoo.com xoxo
Hi, dolls! My outfits are starting to transition and I'm getting ready for fall, but it is still summer here in LA. It's probably even hotter now than the beginning of summer. It's been darker and more gloomy but hot and humid -- my outfits have been loose and airy. This outfit was so comfortable and cutesy I almost wanted to wear it two days in a row! (...just kidding .... kinda :P) I'm shooting new looks for you all this weekend, so stay tuned! xoxo

Hey, everyone! I have recently REALLY fell in love with ripped jeans. I've worn them here and there, but lately I have really found them to be a perfect summer (and summer evening) piece. Living in LA, you can also get away with wearing them all year round without freezing, but especially during summer they have become my go-to. There are so many styles in jeans, as you all know, so of course there are plenty of styles to meet everyone's needs in ripped jeans as well.
Pacsun is having a sale on jeans right now, so take advantage! I went today and they have a coupon that they hand you in the store for $10 off all jeans and they have another deal going on for 2 pairs of jeans for $69. They also have 20% off the entire site! Check it out! They have a good variety of ripped jeans for men and women! hollaaa. (CLICK PHOTO FOR DIRECT LINK.)
I know men tend to have a limited selection on items, so here are some options just for you, fellas! (CLICK PHOTO FOR DIRECT LINK.)
There are so many options for you all ... too many to display. Some other great places to find ripped jeans are Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters, Macy's, and Zara. I am a big fan of all of those places.
Hope this was helpful! xo
